Nomad Bucareli

Nomad Bucareli is a thirteen-story building situated on a prominent corner in Mexico City’s central Juárez neighborhood, just steps away from Paseo de la Reforma. Addressing the city's need for high-density rental housing, the building comprises 268 apartments, ground-floor retail space, and a parking level. The project responds to the heritage context through an L-shaped floor plan that creates an interior courtyard and emphasizes the chamfered corner characteristic of the local urban layout.

The lower four levels are clad in a pink concrete that dialogues with the surrounding stone facades, while the upper levels feature a grid of terracotta-toned metal panels designed to manage sunlight exposure and privacy. Ground-floor retail units activate the streetscape and foster interaction between residents and visitors. Amenities include a coworking space, a gym, and a rooftop terrace with gardens and a swimming pool. As one of the city's first buildings to reduce parking capacity, it promotes sustainable mobility by leveraging its proximity to public transportation networks.
